Red River Ex

In Winnipeg there is a fair kinda like Brandon fair, but only bigger! They have a lot more rides than Brandon does so it is a little more exciting than just going to Brandon every year. This year it is on from June 17th until June 26th, with every day something new happening. They have parades, kids games, adult rides, child rides, entertainment and everything you could think of. I am not one for rides but i think it would be fun to just go. They even have free concerts going on the whole time, but the bands that are playing aren't very well known. Shane Yellowbird would have been likely my only interest for the performances. My sister Andrea has her international fastball tournament in Winnipeg that weekend so she was wanting me to go with her. I was excited and looking forward to going with her, but it happens to be that i have to stay home and study for my exams! Next year, i am for sure going to enjoy the excitement that it brings!

FUN NEVER GETS OLD!

Get ready for the 60th annual Red River Exhibition - Friday, June 17 to Sunday, June 26.  The EX is the biggest summer fair in Manitoba, attracting an average of 200,000 visitors over 10 days!
Our fun family event is held at Red River Exhibition Park, located on the west side of Winnipeg, Manitoba at 3977 Portage Ave, just west of Highway 1 (Trans Canada) and Highway 100 (Perimeter) intersection.
The fair kicks off with a dazzling fireworks display on opening night, June 17, at 11:00pm.
Catch a Free Ride to The EX!
A fleet of four buses will run from Kapyong Barracks to our front gates - and back again! - from morning til night on Saturdays only (June 18 and June 25). The buses will run from 11:00am Saturday mornings until 12:30am Sundays. Each FREE trip will take less than 15 minutes. Save time and money by riding the shuttle. Pay no parking fees or bus fare, and save the time you'd spend looking for a parking spot at The EX grounds. The shuttle is a perfect solution for busy parents, too. They can drop off and pick up their kids at Kapyong instead of driving them back and forth to The EX. The buses only stop at Kapyong and The EX gates, so kids are guaranteed to get where they are going safely.
Kapyong Barracks is located at Grant and Kenaston. Park and Riders can leave their cars there at no cost on June 18 and 25 to catch the shuttle to and from The EX. Cyclists can opt to leave their bikes there, too. The EX is not responsible for any damages to bikes or vehicles "parked" at Kapyong.
